Had a lovely visit today from Carly, who had Woodside Supernova (Malibu) from us last year, and her mum Julie, who had Woodside Senna (Ozzie) from us at the same time.
Was really nice having a catch up although I must admit to feeling horribly guilty every time I heard just how naughty Supernova and Senna could be!! They came round at an ideal time as the Musketeers had already had their mad morning so were curled up nicely asleep and behaving themselves.
Tomorrow we have Sharon and her daughters round to visit - Sharon rehomed our 2 retired Kassaro queens Scarlett and Mika last year and the girls have thrived since being with her. Sharon visited us around Christmas when the Musketeers were only a few weeks old so will be interesting for her to see just how they have grown since their last visit.
This is one of the parts of breeding that I love - meeting the people that have our babies and then becoming friends and staying in touch after the kittens have left us.
I took the Musketeers for another vet visit yesterday, just to make sure all was well before their final vaccinations next week and they have all put on 500g since their last visit 2 weeks ago. The vet checked them over and said they are doing very, very well. It was nice for them to see the inside of a vets without having a needle in them and they had fun climbing all over the vet's shoulders too.

Updates
Can't quite believe it but the Musketeers are 11 weeks old now. Another 2 weeks and they will be leaving us - their owners seem perfectly well trained already and I am sure our babies are going to be super happy and spoiled in their new homes!
Malia is now 5 weeks pregnant and really filling out. We have some lovely people on our waiting list ready to give her babies a home and we are hoping she will have a lovely girl for us to keep back. We are also counting down the days until our gorgeous new girl joins us at the beginning of March.
Star is in full on call (again) and obviously decided that Luna, our labrador puppy, was the best furry to be snuggling up to yesterday - I don't think Luna was very impressed at having to share her bed!

New Addition
We are very excited to confirm that we will be having a gorgeous new addition to our breeding. This little girl is a tortie mackerel tabby with white and we are very excited about having our first 'with white' Maine Coon in our breeding programme.
I will update more and add new photos once she is home with us.

New Piccies
Did a bit of a photo shoot today - I was expecting the kittens to be a bit dopey after their vaccinations and therefore a bit easier to photograph but no such luck!
They are absolutely their normal selves and did everything possible to avoid the camera - I got a few lucky shots though! In order: Aramis, Athos & Porthos.

First Vaccinations
The boys had their first vaccinations and health checks today and all is well. Everything where it's meant to be and no problems at all. Porthos weighs in at 1.38kg, Athos at 1.3kg and Aramis at 1.17kg, although he was very much the runt of the litter when he was born so has done really well to catch up.
Am expecting grumpy kittens for the next 24 hours or so but hopefully after that they will be back to their usual selves.
Will try and get some more pics done over the next couple of days and hopefully have more definate news on Malia too.

New Photo of the Three Musketeers
Had to post this photo taken this morning of our nearly 9 weeks old boys getting a good feed from mum! She struggled with her first litter but this time around, she absolutely adores her babies and is so attentive.
Also, looks as though Malia may have begun pinking up so hopefully another gorgeous litter due at the end of March (I keep whispering in her ear that I really want a special girl to keep back!!) Very exciting as this is her first litter and we have high hopes for the type of these babies as Malia herself is from very, very good lines.

The Three Musketeers Litter and Malia
The kittens are now just over 8 weeks old and running riot all over the house! They are eating very, very well and were the easiest litter we have ever had for litter training. First vaccinations on Monday and then the countdown to them leaving us :-(
I love all of my kittens but this litter are so naughty and in your face that I know they are really going to be missed when they leave us.
The hope is that Malia is pregnant and so having her pregnancy progressing will give us something to look forward to after Star's kittens have left us. If she has taken then she is on day 16 at the moment so just another few days before she should be pinking up and, as she is a maiden queen, the changes should be pretty obvious.
I don't want to tempt fate but she is eating and sleeping more and I am convinced that she feels 'thicker' around her middle although that may just be wishful thinking!
